My area of Work and Research
My area of work and research focuses on Teacher Education, Personality Factors, Mental Health, Value and Moral Education, Student Counselling, and Career Counselling. I am interested in teachers’ professional development, teaching competencies, classroom management, communication skills, and professional ethics. I also study personality factors such as motivation, self-confidence, emotional stability, and interpersonal relationships and their influence on students’ academic performance and adjustment.
Mental Health is an important area of my research, particularly academic stress, anxiety, emotional well-being, self-esteem, resilience, and psychological support. I am also interested in Value and Moral Education for developing responsible, empathetic, and socially conscious individuals. Student Counselling helps students overcome academic, emotional, and behavioural difficulties and develop confidence and decision-making skills.
Career Counselling is another important area of my research, helping students understand their interests, abilities, skills, and career opportunities. Overall, my work aims to promote the holistic development of students and professional development of teachers. I believe education should develop academic competence along with personality, mental well-being, moral character, social responsibility, and career readiness.

HEALTH OF TEACHERS OF NADIA DISTRICT
Abstract:
This study examines how personality factors and job satisfaction influence the mental health of secondary and higher secondary teachers in Nadia District. Findings indicate moderate psychological well-being, with greater emotional strain among female teachers. Conscientiousness, agreeableness, extraversion, and job satisfaction supported better mental health, while neuroticism predicted psychological distress.
